We're praising the Lord for a great summer at Crossroads!
During the last week of June we held our annual Vacation Bible School Program. Mike Connor led our church family in community outreach as we ministered to children and their families to advance the gospel. It was a great time of ministry! Some came to know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior that week!
In July, ministry teams from Indiana and Maryland helped sponsor Summer Bible Club. About fifty children came throughout the week and nearly a hundred joined us for the Mr. Musicmaker show on Friday night. Some came to trust Christ during this week, too!
Throughout the summer, we provided a Nutrition Development program for children in the neighborhood. With help from the USDA, we provided breakfast and lunch five days each week. We're grateful for those who served: Marty, Valerie, Dorea, Lydia,John, Lisa and others.
We had two weddings at our church this summer, too. Daniel Thomas married Jennifer Brown in June. And, Jason Brown married Melody Lopez in August.
With gifts from many in our congregation and help from MetroGrace Philadelphia, we were able to purchase a portable baptismal pool for our congregation this summer, as well.

We're looking forward to a productive fall season at Crossroads!
On September 5, we plan to put our new baptismal pool to use. Several believers are preparing to obey the Lord by being baptized. That evening we plan to gather for our three part communion service. What a joy to be part of the body of Christ!
Our Home Bible Fellowships will begin meeting during the week of September 6. Check the church bulletin for more details.
On September 12, we're planning a Back to Church Sunday. We'll have a combined Sunday School program. promote students in our morning worship service and begin a new series of Biblical Challenges from the book of Luke--Coming to Seek and Save: The Life, Ministry and Message of Jesus Christ.
We're planning a congregational meeting for September 19. And, our Ladies' Fellowship will begin meeting again on September 21.
We intend to sponsor Fall Fest, a community outreach event, in October. Lord willing, we'll gather with brothers and sisters at Crossroads Frankford for a Thanksgiving Service on November 24. We'replanning a trip to Sight and Sound Theater in Lancaster for December 4. And we're anticipating our annual Christmas Banquet on December 12.
